Duplicate Driving License
A Duplicate Licence is issued in case of loss, theft, or mutilation. We recommended you to keep the photocopy of your Licence safe, particulars of Licence is noted with you so that you may not face troubles in case of loss/theft. It would be easier to located about your Licence particulars from the record. If you cannot provided the particulars it is advidable to go ahead for fresh Licence instead of duplicate of Licence.
How Can I Get a Duplicate Driving Licence ?
Office: Contact your Local Sub Divisional Officer (Civil) i.e. S.D.M
1. You should be conversant about the vehicle systems, driving, traffic rules and regulations.
The documents required along with permanent driving Licence application form are as follows:
Application form for LLD
1. Self declaration certificate.
2. Copy of F.I.R. / Old original Licence
3. Residential Certificate ( voter card/ passport/ telephone/electricity bill/ ration card etc) attach any two attested copies.
After scrutiny of the documents, the applicant is put through the driving test. For driving test, the applicant has to bring his vehicle with him. He is tested for his driving skills, familiarization with the vehicle, traffic rules & regulations. The applicant is asked about the vehicle system and safety.
